INF Study Program Holds Webinar Digital Industry and Millennials, Providing Opportunities to Become Entrepreneur

The Informatics Management Study Program during the distance learning period due to the Covid-19 pandemic continues to strive to provide additional insight to students, especially related to soft skills, industrial insight, and entrepreneurship. One of the efforts made is to hold a webinar with the theme Digital Industry and Millennials, Providing Opportunities to Become Entrepreneur on Friday 26 June 2020.

The speakers presented started from academics who were delivered directly by the Dean of the IPB School, Dr. Ir Arief Deyanto MEc. He explained about what skills one must have in order to compete in this century, namely Learning Skills, Literacy Skills, and Life Skills. The speaker from the industry was delivered by Mr. Muhammad Jafar Razak, CEO of PT.Permata Insan Nusantara (PT.Pin) who said that to start a digital business, it must be ensured that the business processes run well offline to build public trust, then we build the infrastructure and application platform to streamline the business process. In addition, PT Pin’s Business Development Director, Mr. Talhah Fahrizal, who is also one of the speakers in this webinar, conveyed the importance of building a strategic Business Model and to become an entrepreneur sequentially, the capital is capacity, potential, network, facilities, assets, and finance.

The last speaker who was very inspiring was the owner of Rajatani.id Mrs. Anne Sri Arti who shared her experience in entrepreneurship that empowers agricultural communities, creates market certainty, and learns to be sincere and immediately gets up when she encounters a failure. On this occasion, the Head of the Informatics Management Study Program, Sofiyanti Indriasari, S.Kom., M.Kom., at the beginning of the webinar conveyed an introduction to the study program and explained that the Informatics Management Study Program had collaborated with industry and government institutions that were used as real student clients in practicum to make products in the form of applications and multimedia. The efforts that have been made are expected to create vocational graduates who are ready to work and ready to compete.
