College of Vocational Studies IPB University's General Profile

Vocational education in Indonesia, which was first established in 1979 under the name Diploma Program, Bogor Agricultural University. Along with the dynamic development of the world of education, and has been designated as a State-Owned Legal Entity until in 2017 it was transformed into a Vocational School, Bogor Agricultural University.

    2020

    In 2020, based on the Decree of the Dean of the Vocational School of IPB Number: 4036/IT3.53/KP/2020, four divisions were formed, namely:

    1. Production Engineering Division, consisting of six study programs (Seed Industry Technology, Aquaculture Production Technology and Management, Livestock Technology and Management, Plantation Production Technology and Management, Agricultural Production Technology and Community Development, Veterinary Paramedics)
    2. The Management System and Applied Engineering Division consists of five study programs (Industrial Management, Accounting, Food Quality Assurance Supervisor, Food Service Industry Management and Nutrition).
    3. Division of Applied Ecosystem, Environment, and Communication, consisting of four study programs (Environmental Engineering and Management, Communication, Ecotourism, Chemical Analysis)
    4. Division of Applied Digital Engineering, consisting of two study programs (Informatics Management and Computer Engineering).

    2017

    In 2017 based on the Decree of the Rector of IPB Number 228/IT3/OT/2017, regarding Formation of the Vocational School of the Bogor Agricultural University, the Bogor Agricultural Institute's Vocational School was formed.

    2013

    On September 12, 2013 the quality assurance of the Diploma Program refers to the Internal Quality Assurance System document and the Quality Standards of the Diploma Education Program as a regulation of the Rector of IPB Number 06/IT3/DT/2013. The implementation of quality assurance is integrated with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. The implementation of SM ISO is part of external quality assurance, and is audited annually by an external auditor from PT Sucofindo. The purpose of this audit is to ensure the quality and implementation of the ISO SM implementation. It is hoped that by implementing SM. With this ISO, quality assurance in the IPB Vocational School becomes more focused, consistent and measurable.

    2011

    In 2011/2012 the Diploma Program opened the Veterinary Paramedic Expertise Program as the 18th expertise program.

    2010

    In 2010/2011 the 17th skill program was opened, namely the Plantation Production Management and Technology Expertise Program.

    2009

    In 2009 the Diploma Program of IPB was accredited to 14 Expertise Programs by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education. The 14 Skills Programs have obtained accreditation. In the 2009/2010 learning activities, the Production Technology and Agricultural Community Development Expertise Program was opened, which is a Taylor made program in collaboration with the West Java Provincial Government. On 07 July 2009 the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System was implemented.

    2007

    In 2007, 2 skill programs were opened which are Taylor made programs, namely the Oil Palm Plantation Expertise Program (in collaboration with PT. Sinar Mas Agrotechnology) and the Network Computer Engineering Expertise Program (in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education).

    In 2006 the Accounting Expertise Program was opened (Rector's Decree No. 176/K13/PP/2006 dated December 29, 2006).

    2004

    In 2004 based on the decision of the Board of Trustees (MWA) IPB No. 17/MWA-IPB/2003 concerning the Bylaws of IPB which mandates polytechnics as a forum to manage vocational education, IPB has organized and restructured the implementation of diploma program education at IPB. Based on the Rector's Decree No. 124/ K13/OT/2004 dated July 13, 2004, the Directorate of Diploma Programs of IPB was established as a work unit that was mandated to manage the implementation of diploma program education at IPB during the transition to independent management. At the beginning of its opening in 2004 the Diploma Program of IPB held 13 Expertise Programs in accordance with the Rector's Decree Number 073/K13/PP/2005 dated June 17, 2005.

    2000

    In 2000, IPB through Government Regulation No. 154 of 2000 was established as a State-Owned Legal Entity. This status provides an opportunity for IPB to continue to develop itself to support the development of the agricultural sector in a broad sense, including developing diploma education programs.

    1992

    In 1992 the Diploma Education Study Program of IPB was managed by the departments or faculties within the IPB environment. Until 2004 there were 32 Diploma Study Programs under 7 different faculties.

    1980

    In 1980 the Diploma Education Program changed its name to the Faculty of Agricultural Polytechnic. Based on Government Regulation No. 30 of 1990 the Faculty of Agricultural Polytechnic was abolished and the diploma programs under it had to be integrated into the relevant faculties.

    College of Vocational Studies IPB University is one of the vocational education institutions in Indonesia which was first established in 1979 under the name Diploma Education Program. The Diploma Education Program is one of nine faculties owned by the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB).
