College of Vocational Studies IPB University Informatics Management Study Program launched 22 websites for 74 MSMEs in Bogor City virtually through the Zoom Meeting platform on Sunday (18/7). Arief Daryanto, M.Ec; Head of the Informatics Management Study Program, Sofiyanti Indriasari, S.Kom, M.Kom, Secretary of the Informatics Management Study Program who is also in charge of the MSME website creation activities, Medhanita Dewi Renanti, S.Kom, M.Kom; Aditya Wicaksono, S.Kom, M.Kom, assistant lecturer, MSMEs in Bogor City, and students from the Informatics Management study program as website developers for MSMEs in Bogor City, totaling hundreds of participants.
Sofiyanti Indriasari expressed her appreciation to students who continue to work on producing websites for SMEs in Bogor City that can be used as student portfolios. “On the other hand, this activity is an implementation of Project Based Learning which implements a real project for implemented by the community”, he added.
In his remarks, Dr Arief Daryanto said that currently people are more active in online shopping. Therefore, it needs to be supported by digital media that can market products/services widely. “This MSME portal is expected to grow and be beneficial for MSME actors. An attractive website is of course supported by a good design, must be responsive including the manager, fast response to MSMEs in providing services to consumers, user friendly, providing benefits, good management including the implementation of SEO, servers are not often down, and good web loading. This activity is a powerful collaboration that also provides a valuable opportunity for students to become reliable programmers and designers,” he said.
The Department of Cooperatives and SMEs of the City of Bogor and the SMEs of the City of Bogor give high appreciation to the College of Vocational Studies IPB University, especially the Informatics Management Study Program which has facilitated this activity. It is hoped that this activity can be used as a first step to get together improve the Indonesian economy, especially the city of Bogor.
