  1. Able to carry out fish hatchery activities starting from site selection, detailed design and construction of hatchery facilities, procurement of production facilities and infrastructure, production process (which includes rearing and spawning broodstock, hatching eggs, rearing larvae and nursery and cultivating natural feed), transportation and marketing of seeds . Mastering standardization and quality certification as well as regulations (legality) regarding seeds and seedlings, both at local, regional and global levels.
  2. Able to carry out fish enlargement activities (growout) for freshwater, brackish and marine aquaculture commodities, starting from site selection, detailed design and construction of facilities, procurement of facilities and infrastructure (such as seeds, feed, medicines, labor, materials) fuel oil, equipment and so on), production process (including preparation of containers, stocking/planting of seeds/seedlings, feeding, prevention and eradication of pests and diseases, monitoring and harvesting), post-harvest handling and marketing of products. Mastering standardization and quality certification as well as regulations (legality) regarding aquaculture products, both at local, regional and global levels.
  3. Able to handle the handling of aquaculture products after harvesting to consumers which includes sorting and grading, slicing, anesthesia, live transport, stockpiling (stunting), quality improvement, tagging, chipping, displaying and other techniques related to promotion, improvement product prices, food safety and consumer safety. Able to apply postharvest technology for common aquaculture products such as fresh/frozen storage, drying, smoking, curing, salting and so on.
  4. Able to diagnose and treat sick fish, monitor and manage water quality, monitor growth and population of cultured fish with technical sampling, selection of superior broodstock and fry, and several other laboratory techniques related to health, water quality, maintenance media, nutrition and fish feeding .
  5. Able to mass and commercially produce natural feed since the preparation of containers and media (water), fertilizer and fertilization of natural feed culture media, procurement and handling of inoculants and inoculations, population monitoring, water quality management, harvesting and post-harvest handling, including being able to increase content nutrition of natural feed (enrichment) and the insertion of drugs and certain substances into natural feed related to treatment efforts, growth promotion and quality improvement of cultured fish.
  6. Able to manage aquaculture business which includes planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating, from the procurement of production facilities and infrastructure, production process to harvest, post-harvest and marketing. Able to also carry out aquaculture monitoring and evaluation including business feasibility analysis and so on.

Courses

The Aquaculture Production Technology and Management Study Program consists of 114 credits which are divided into several courses including

1. Religious Education 2(2-0)

Discusses understanding, appreciation and practice of the concept of faith and religion that is solid. Religion and religion in scientific disciplines. The role of religion in the nation and state is to support national development and mental attitude, as well as achieving the goals of human life.

2. Physics 3(2-1)

Studying physical measurements and quantities, systems of units, vectors, straight motion, Newton’s laws, work and energy, the law of conservation of energy, momentum, harmonic motion, fluid thermodynamics, electrostatics, electrodynamics, direct current, alternating current, magnetic fields, waves and optics.

3. Statistical Method 3(2-1)

Mempelajari tentang pengertian statistika, deskripsi dan eksplorasi data, konsep peluang, konsep peubah acak, dan sebaran peluang, teori penarikan contoh, penduga parameter, pengujian hipotesis, analisis regresi dan korelasi, analisis ragam dan analisis non parametrik.

4. Computer Applications 3(1-2)

Learn the types of software, namely system software (operating systems and utilities) and their applications, introduction to computer components including processing, input, output, and storage equipment, computer network basics, computer and internet security, use of system software and applications for problem solving as well as local content materials according to the needs of each skill program.

5. Oceanographic Climatology 3(1-2)

Studying the components and variables of climatology and oceanography related to aquaculture, especially mariculture, and their interaction mechanisms. Aquaculture efforts face climatological and oceanographic conditions.

6. Fish Physiology 3(1-2)

Studying organs, systems and physiological functions related to somatic reproduction and growth, including digestion, respiration, circulation, osmoregulation, neurology, reproduction, hormone systems and so on; bioenergetics, growth curves, ecophysiology (linkage between ecology and physiology) of growth, and some practical techniques for calculating and predicting growth in aquaculture systems.

7. Biology of Fish and Aquatic Invertebrates 3(1-2)

Studying the morphology, anatomy, distribution, and behavior of fish and aquatic invertebrates, both as culture species (commodities), natural food and parasitic organisms; introduction to the organs of fish and aquatic invertebrates and their functions.

8. Bahasa Indonesia 3(2-1)

Learn the mastery and use of Indonesian well. Topics covered include EYD, sentence structure, effective and logical sentences, paragraphs, types of writing, scientific work, and oral presentation.

9. English 3(1-2)

Learn a series of skills to read and understand texts in English and improve vocabulary mastery at the intermediate level with reading topics that are appropriate for each skill program.

10. Aquatic Ecology 3(1-2)

Mempelajari prinsip dan pengertian ekologi perairan serta kaitannya dengan perikanan budidaya (akuakultur); tipe-tipe ekosistem peraian, komponen ekosistem perairan yang mencakup abiotik dan biotik, parameter dan peubah kualitas air dan tanah yang mencakup fisika, kimia dan biologi; faktor pembatas, siklus biogeokimia, peubah populasi dan komunitas di dalam suatu ekosistem perairan.

11. Aquatic Microbiology 3(1-2)

Mempelajari taksonomi, morfologi, metabolisme dan reproduksi mikroba akuatik yang mencakup golongan bakteri, virus, cendawan, alga dan protozoa; peranan mikrobiologi di dalam sistem perikanan budidaya, antara lain sebagai dekomposer, agen penyakit, kompetitor, pakan, kondisi lingkungan dan sebagainya; metode isolasi dan identifikasi serta kepentingannya dalam perikanan budidaya.

12. Water and Soil Chemistry 3(1-2)

Discusses the role of water and soil chemistry in aquaculture systems. The discussion includes: the hydrological cycle; kinds of waters; physics, chemistry and biology of water and soil in relation to chemical parameters of water and soil; dynamics and its role on fish physiology in aquaculture systems. The study of the quality of subgrade ponds/ponds and their role in the physiological functions of fish and the relationship between environmental factors in aquaculture systems.

13. Aquaculture Fundamentals 3(1-2)

Study the definition, objectives, scope and history of aquaculture (aquaculture); the principles that underlie aquaculture production and important components of aquaculture which include seeds, water quality, nutrition/fish feed, fish parasitic diseases, and the interrelationships between components; production systems and technologies for both hatchery and enlargement, introduction of aquaculture commodities; prospect of aquaculture in meeting national and world food needs.

14. Introduction to Biochemistry 3(2-1)

Studying the structure, properties and functions of biomolecules (water, carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, enzymes, nucleic acids, and hormones); introduction to the main metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids and proteins; fermentation and introduction to biotechnology; the role of biochemistry in aquaculture, particularly in fish nutrition and feed manufacture.

15. Introduction to Agroindustry 2(2-0)

This course is designed and structured to lead students to an understanding of the world of agro-industry in a broad sense by discussing various topics related to agro-industry, including the notion of post-harvest and product processing, understanding of added value of agricultural products, processed forms of agricultural products, and forms of agricultural products. forms of processing agricultural products.

16. Entrepreneurship 3(1-2)

Learn knowledge about entrepreneurship starting from the understanding of entrepreneurship, the character of an entrepreneur, as well as insight into the behavior and abilities of an entrepreneur, and examples of its application according to the needs of the local content of each expertise program.

17. Fish Diseases and Parasites 3(1-2)

Studying the meaning/definition and role/impact of diseases and parasites in aquaculture; various kinds of diseases/parasites that attack cultivated biota, both infectious and non-infectious diseases; disease agents include bacteria, viruses, functions and parasites; clinical symptoms in diseased/parasitic fish; emergence and spread of disease.

18. Fish Pharmacology 3(1-2)

Studying the understanding and role of pharmacology in the control and treatment of fish diseases; all aspects of medicines for aquaculture biota starting from the type, nature, working method, dosage, and method of drug use; drug storage and procurement techniques.

19. Water and Soil Quality Management 3(1-2)

Learn how to manage water and soil quality so that it remains optimal for the life and growth of aquaculture biota and the surrounding environment. Materials covered include monitoring and measuring water quality and quantity; treatment of water before it enters the aquaculture system; water management techniques in production containers (change, aeration, filtration and fertilization of water) and aquaculture wastewater treatment; Amdal for aquaculture activities.

20. Manufacturing and Feeding Techniques 3(1-2) ​

21. Fish Breeding Techniques 3(1-2)

Learn how to breed various types of fish, both consumption fish and ornamental fish, both freshwater fish and brackish and marine fish. Materials include: fish breeding techniques including natural and artificial, including the application of hormones and other reproductive manipulations for gonadal maturation, ovulation and spawning; various techniques to increase seed production and hatchery productivity, from rearing broodstock, spawning broodstock, hatching eggs and rearing larvae.

27. Natural Feed Production Techniques 3(1-2)

29. Professional Ethics of Aquaculture 1(1-0) ​

Mempelajari dan membahas mengenai tinjauan umum etika, pekerjaan profesi dan profesional, tinjauan profesi dalam bidang perikanan budidaya, cara dan metode untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme pekerja dan wirausaha perikanan budidaya, peran organisasi dan kode etik dalam sebuah profesi, etika bisnis, hak kekayaan intelektual.

30. Introduction to Field Work Practice 1(0-1)

32. Aquaculture Product Handling 3(1-2)

Mempelajari pengelolaan usaha pembenihan ikan dari mulai pemilihan lokasi, desain detail dan konstruksi fasilitas pembenihan, pengadaan sarana dan prasarana produksi, proses produksi (yang mencakup pemeliharaan dan pemijahan induk, penetasan telur, pemeliharaan larva dan pendederan benih), pengangkutan dan pemasaran benih; standarisasi dan sertifikasi mutu serta peraturan (legalitas) tentang benih dan perbenihan.

34. Freshwater Aquaculture Management 4(1-3)

Mempelajari pengelolaan budidaya air tawar, khususnya pembesaran (growout) biota perikanan budidaya (akuakultur), mulai dari pemilihan lokasi, desain detail dan konstruksi fasilitas, pengadaan sarana dan prasarana (seperti benih, pakan, obat-obatan, tenaga kerja, bahan bakar minyak, peralatan dan sebagainya), proses produksi (mencakup persiapan wadah, penebaran/ penanaman benih/ bibit, pemberian pakan, pencegahan dan pemberantasan hama dan penyakit, monitoring dan pemanenan), penanganan pascapanen dan pemasaran hasil.

35. Management of Brackish Water Aquaculture and Mariculture 4(1-3)

Studying the management of brackish water aquaculture and mariculture, particularly the growth of aquaculture biota, from site selection, detailed design and construction of facilities, procurement of facilities and infrastructure (such as seeds, feed, medicines, labor, fuel) oil, equipment and so on), production process (including preparation of containers, stocking/planting of seeds/seedlings, feeding, prevention and eradication of pests and diseases, monitoring and harvesting), post-harvest handling and marketing of products.

37. Fish Farming Management Field Work Practice 5 (0-5)

Provide experience, knowledge and practical skills in the enlargement of an aquaculture commodity in the field (community) from the procurement of production facilities and infrastructure, the production process to harvesting, post-harvest handling and marketing of the results; observing physical infrastructure and business organization, as well as calculating business feasibility and understanding fish rearing agribusiness in the field.

Mahasiswa mempresentasikan hasil praktik kerja lapangan di depan kelas, mendapatkan umpan balik dari diskusinya, untuk penyusunan laporan praktek kerja lapangan, bertukar pengalaman praktek kerja.
